News From the Town Office

Seasons Greetings from the Town Office!  As we endure the winter snows, please allow yourself extra time while driving during a storm and use extra caution during the night hours.

Nomination papers for Selectmen/Overseers of the Poor/Assessors, MSAD # 64 School Board Director, and HAD#4 Hospital Director are available beginning December 18th.

There will be a public hearing, in regards to the proposed new school to be built in Corinth, on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 7:00pm at Central High School.  This will be followed by a vote on Tuesday, December 17th, at the Bradford Town Office.  The polls will be open from 8am – 8pm.

We will be closing the office at noon on December 24th.

The Town’s website is up and running.  If you have the time, you should take a peek at it.  The web address is www.bradfordmaine.org .  If you feel something is missing or if you think it’s just right, please let the office know.

Another positive note, we can now accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.  There is a small convenience fee that is charged in addition to your purchase.  The minimum fee is $3.00 or 2.45% of the purchase.

If you have not yet paid your 2011 taxes, 30-day foreclosure notices went out November 21st.  The date of foreclosure is December 29th.  Please come pay your taxes before your property becomes tax acquired by the Town.

We have two winners!!!  The winner of the 50/50 raffle, to benefit the Heating Fund, is Carl Reeves.  The winner of the handmade quilt, to benefit the Food Cupboard, is Hilda Chase.  Congratulations!!!  Thank you for the organizers of the two raffles; the funds will be put to good use!!

Respectfully submitted,
